B&W Supports Cancer Patients and Their Families
On May 13 B&W participated in the 8th annual Cooking Live! Boston event to raise awareness and funds for our official charity partner, Family Reach. Chef Ming led a dynamic lineup of iconic chefs to cook up some delicious dishes—with some featuring B&W greens—in support of local children battling cancer.
Family Reach is dedicated to assisting families with the financial burden that comes with cancer treatments. Not only do they help subsidize payments for patients and their families, but they also offer solutions on how to steer clear of payments that come up throughout a patient’s journey. At this year’s Cooking Live! we helped raise an impressive $540,000 that Family Reach will use to support 2,110 cancer patients and their families facing outstanding financial payments.
Cooking Live! was filled with unforgettable moments and amazing food from seven of our nation’s top chefs. It was inspiring to see generous supporters, cancer heroes, and attendees all come together to influence a change in cancer-related financial toxicity throughout the nation.
Our contributions to Family Reach will ensure Carla Tardif, Family Reach CEO has the resources available to provide for cancer patients and their families.
